James,
I am 28 and an ex-Mormon. I woke this morning feeling spiritually bankrupt and confused. I set out on my journey with what I thought would be some light reading. The Lord, through Google, led me to your book. I read every word without a break. I want you to know that I have never wept so hard in my life as I am typing this. I am truly moved by the spirit today. I was so close to calling the [Mormon] church to see if maybe I would find what is missing. They are so good at selling what you are looking for, and making you feel welcome. Your experience as written has truly moved me. I have a journey before me, but you have saved me from making one wrong turn again. I pray that this reaches you and your family in the best of health and spirits. Jeff |
![]() Praise the Lord! He moves in wondrous ways indeed! The first thing I want to say is that there is life after Mormonism. I know because I have experienced it myself and because I have seen thousands of others who have as well. I want to send you a packet of information that will get you started in the right direction. So send my your snail address. Also, know that I will be praying for you. And if there are any specific questions I can answer, don't hesitate to email me. I look forward to seeing you grow in Christ and become connected to a good Bible-believing church. When you send me you address, maybe I will be able to recommend one in your area. Again, I rejoice at the new door opening before you. A fellow-servant, Jim Jeff responded: James, I've been away from the Church for years. I even went as far as to send them a letter a few years ago and told them to remove me from their records. I would appreciate any materials you send. By the way, I spent 10 years in Alaska, and am a former soldier. I drew many parallels with what you wrote. Though I was born near the time you left the church, (1974) your information was as timely as ever. The one thing I really learned this morning, was not to look for church, or religion. It was to find my relationship with Christ. Thanks again, Jeff Ps. Let your wife know that her staying with you made my day today. I was getting really worried for a few chapters, as I'm sure you were. God Bless. |
