Hello, what's this? "Beloved" is an adjective as in "..our beloved brethren." Or it might be a noun as in "..she is my beloved." But a verb? Nope. Not now, not then, not ever. We can "love" someone, and we can have "loved" them. But we cannot "beloved" them nor have "beloved" them.

So the modern version, by changing "who" to "whom," fixes nothing.
