Dear Mr. Spencer,
I got your e-mail address from your website where your book on your story as Elder in the Mormon Faith and I wanted to e-mail you to maybe get your insight and your thoughts on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints..... My husband and I come from two different religious backgrounds....I was raised Catholic and my husband is Apostolic (Pentecostal)......Both of us don't feel fulfilled by our respective religions...personally there are a lot of things in the Catholic Church I don't agree with or don't make sense to me.....we know our beliefs but we want to find a Community we can worship God with..... We have been approached by some Mormon Missionaries that have come to our home to talk about their Church and their faith....at first we were very excited at getting the answers to our "many questions" and we stet up meeting after meeting...but the last couple of meetings have put doubts on my mind...if this is "right".....I've prayed to God to let me know if this is His answer to our "wanting to find a community to worship God with" and maybe that's why I have these doubts, maybe God is trying to tell me this is not right and maybe that's why when I was looking for their website I found your website first...... I apologize if this e-mail has kept you from anything....I appreciate your time and I hope you'll reply.....I would love to talk to you.....here's our phone number.....I understand this would be a long distance phone call for you and I understand if you don't want to make it.....if you want to you can call us collect and I'll be glad to accept the charges...... We're looking forward to hearing from you either via e-mail or phone... |
![]() Thanks for emailing me. I am sending you a packet of information I hope will be helpful to you. Had a nice talk with John on the phone. I am praying for you guys that you will find a sensible, godly, group of Christians who don't want anything from you but to love you and present Christ to you. I'm praying that you avoid getting snagged by a group with ulterior motives who want to capture you for their own purposes. There are thousands of healthy Christian churches where you can find friends and fellowship. Jesus is enough. Jim |
