I have a problem with what is said on the page "I hate to be blunt, but the Mormon Leaders are Lying" I grew up mormon ,I'm now baptist, and have heard this before from the book gatebreakers. the problem I have is I've looked for reference about Elohim, and haven't found anything close to what is said there.

I found more about Elohim in doc's. about jewish culture than about mormonism. If you could help me find it that would be helpful, my mother and step dad are still hardcore mormons.

I wonder when I see things like this if the acts have been researched before being put into text.

I would have left mormonism a lot sooner if movies shown to me and stuff I had read had been based on fact instead of being taken from something read once a saying it is a fact.

You are the one, apparently, who has not done your reasearch. Secondly, how active a Mormon were you that you missed one of the cardinal and repeated teachings of the Mormon Church??????

Every active Mormon is acquainted with Elohim. You can look it up. It is absolutely common knowledge that the father of Jesus (and of you and me and, yes, lucifer) is a god named Elohim. (Spelled variously).

I just did a search on the CD I bought at the Mormon Bookstore: The LDS Collectors's Library and found more than 350 references to this term. References along the line of:

Discourses of Brigham Young, p.50 I want to tell you, each and every one of you, that you are well acquainted with God our Heavenly Father, or the great Elohim. You are all well acquainted with him, for there is not a soul of you but what has lived in his house and dwelt with him year after year; and yet you are seeking to become acquainted with him, when the fact is, you have merely forgotten what you did know.
AND
Joseph Fielding Smith, Gospel Doctrine, p.69 Jesus Christ is not the Father of the spirits who have taken or yet shall take bodies upon this earth, for he is one of them. He is the Son, as they are sons or daughters of Elohim. So far as the stages of eternal progression and attainment have been made known through divine revelation, we are to understand that only resurrected and glorified beings can become parents of spirit offspring. Only such exalted souls have reached maturity in the appointed course of eternal life; and the spirits born to them in the eternal worlds will pass in due sequence through the several stages or estates by which the glorified parents have attained exaltation. -- Improvement Era, Vol. 19, p. 942.
I don't want to be unkind, but you need to do your homework before you start such hand wringing about our research.

Because I get this kind of thing from time to time, I will put your letter and this response on the page you mention.
